Job Description
Senior Structural Designer
Minneapolis MN Direct Hire $33 $50/hr
Konik is partnering with a local engineering consultant who is seeking to add a senior structural designer to their team.
Senior Structural Designer Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive construction documents ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and CAD standards.
- Act as the primary technical contact for projects coordinating directly with engineers project managers clients and contractors.
- Oversee and review project documentation across multiple disciplines to resolve conflicts and ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and communicate preliminary design concepts refine layouts and coordinate specifications with project drawings.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to designers and technicians ensuring highquality deliverables and professional growth.
Senior Structural Designer Qualifications:
- Associates or Certificate in architectural or structural design or similar with at least 8 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in structural design CAD software and drafting standards for complex projects.
- Proven ability to lead project teams manage client relationships and oversee coordination efforts across disciplines.
- Experience in preparing proposals estimating drafting fees and managing project schedules.
- Willingness to travel for site visits to provide field support and ensure project success.
