Job Description
- Lead and supervise a team of counselors to ensure effective and safe camp operations.
- Manage and support the daily camp schedule ensuring activities run smoothly.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all campers throughout the camp day.
- Foster a positive inclusive and engaging camp atmosphere for all campers.
- Coordinate and lead activities for campers parents and staff to maintain a supportive environment.
- Monitor camper behavior and implement appropriate discipline when necessary.
- Assist in training and mentoring other camp counselors offering guidance and support.
- Work directly with the Day Camp Director to report on daily operations and any camprelated issues.
- In the absence of the Day Camp Director assume leadership responsibilities in collaboration with the General Manager.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed including emergency procedures and risk management.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of camp activities and spaces as needed.
- Lead morning meeting and afternoon debrief meetings providing input on camp operations and improvements.
- Promote camp values of teamwork respect and responsibility among campers and staff.
- All other duties as needed or assigned
- Previous Camp Counselor Experience
- High School Diploma
- Reliable Transportation
- Constant Positive Attitude
- Lots of Energy
- Passion for working with kids
- CPR and AED Certified
