Job Description
WindBorne Systems is supercharging weather models with a unique proprietary data source: constellations of nextgeneration smart weather balloons targeting the most critical atmospheric data. We then combine that unique data source with the worlds most accurate AI weather models. Our longterm vision is to eliminate weather uncertainty and in the process help humanity adapt to climate change be that predicting hurricanes or speeding the adoption of renewables. The founding team of Stanford engineers was named Forbes 2019 30 under 30 and is backed by top investors including Khosla Ventures.
Responsibilities
As content lead youll have a hand in almost all of our external communications. You will:
Own content for our website blog and socials writing copy and working with the team to develop image and video assets
Coordinate press efforts working with our PR agency to craft narratives draft press releases and organize interviews
Write marketing materials to explain our technology to a range of potential customers
Amplify partnerships orchestrating cross promotions and inviting people to community balloon launches

Like most jobs at WindBorne this is a highautonomy role. You will be expected to proactively seek out ways to better tell our story to the outside world.
Skills and Qualifications
This role is for you if you are an excellent writer who is good at managing a high number of business relationships. We love to see candidates who have written lots of press releases newsletters and technical blog posts. You should also have an eye for design; while you wont be working as a designer directly you should be capable of giving highquality feedback. We prefer generalists to specialists so though your core competency should be writing an ideal candidate will have at least touched on a wider range of communications work like press relations events sales materials social media and strategy.
Experience level: early to mid career.
Salary
$70000 $150000** We are considering a range of backgrounds and experience levels for this position and adjust our offers accordingly to be competitive with market rates.
