We are hiring a Junior Sales Engineer to join our team in Windsor. You will have a relevant technical or scientific academic background with experience of coding scripting and/or data analytics.

A strong technical aptitude considered approach attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels are essential skills for this role.

The Sales Engineer provides guidance in the use of InterSystems products as they best suit the requirements of the customer and the market. Product and business strategies are coordinated with the InterSystems Account Managers to apply existing and new products to customers solution needs. The Sales Engineer role is wideranging requiring a mixture of design skills handson coding presentation skills technical architecture sales awareness business acumen evangelism and mentoring and training ability.

As a Junior Sales Engineer you will be working with experienced colleagues in all of these areas with a view to becoming an independent member of the team looking after your own customers.

If you have the technical and customerfacing aptitude required and enthusiasm for a presales role we will provide training.

This role may require travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate & demonstrate the use of InterSystems products with other 3rd party technologies.
  • Assist in managing the technical relationship with customers ensuring that they are aware of the latest product capabilities
  • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Help to build and demonstrate Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for prospects and partners to illustrate the suitability ease of use performance features reliability and/or connectivity capabilities of InterSystems technology.
  • Participate in business and detailed technical discussions with prospect and partner organizations to foster the adoption use and deployment of Product technologies
  • Help to install InterSystems software and assist with benchmarking exercises to determine optimal deployment configurations.
  • Help senior teammates to coach partners and prospects particularly in the early stages of adoption or during particularly technically challenging projects.
  • Help to prepare presentations to customers and prospects at site visits marketing events and other venues.
  • Assist in delivery of formal training courses in InterSystems technologies
  • Support customers and prospects during beta test programmes or prelaunch activities and provide feedback to the Product groups
  • Assist with troubleshooting and interact with the Worldwide Response Centre (WRC) to support resolution of technical problems.
  • Provide consulting services for the Sales Department and other InterSystems departments (Marketing Support Development Documentation among others) as requested

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven aptitude within a relevant technical environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts
  • Experience of coding / scripting languages
  • Interest in IT Industry issues & trends

Desirable:

  • Handson experience in full stack server based or application development
  • Experience of working with databases
  • Experience with Business Intelligence / data analytics tools
  • Design analysis and problemsolving skills
  • Experience of InterSystems technology a significant advantage

Education & Training

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
