- Inherit a small experienced accounting team that is downtoearth hardworking and passionate about the mission. This team has been with the organization for years and takes pride in their work theyre excited to welcome a leader who feels the same way.
- Take ownership of implementing and improving internal controls and reconciliation processes. Theres lowhanging fruit for this CFO to make the accounting function more efficient saving time in the long run.
- Lead all GL accounting activities review the work of the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness and create reports for stakeholders. A strong technical foundation and attention to detail will be key in this role.
- Partner with the board to guide the budgeting forecasting and strategic planning process. Upcoming capital projects will require the CFOs expertise in planning and .
- Take the time to connect with leaders staff and donors. This organization is looking for someone who believes deeply in the mission who has the patience and humility to coach nonaccounting staff but the acumen to interact with a sophisticated and highly engaged board.
