Job Description

Life Saving Victoria is Victorias peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations the Royal Life Saving Society Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.

Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteerbased community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.

Our volunteers members employees and partners work together with communities educational institutions government agencies businesses and the broader aquatic industry to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.

Were excited to offer an opportunity for a Training and Assessment Officer Member Training to join our Emergency Management Capability and Response (EMCaR) team on a fulltime ongoing basis. Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting to the Lead Coordinator Member Training this role will provide critical support to Life Saving Clubs and their members ensuring highquality training and assessment standards across the organisation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support trainers assessors and facilitators (TAF) in delivering training and assessments to upskill lifesaving club members.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to clubs on improving their training programs and compliance with training standards.
  • Ensure training courses meet Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements by working closely with internal teams and quality assurance.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including processing awards maintaining training records and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to members and clients responding to trainingrelated inquiries and ensuring high service standards.
  • Manage records and reporting ensuring compliance with ASQA LSV and VET requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with lifesaving clubs chief instructors trainers and external training providers.

Who are you

You are a passionate and detailoriented training professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to supporting member education and capability.

  • You hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
  • You maintain current Bronze Medallion and First Aid qualifications.
  • You have experience in delivering vocational training and conducting flexible assessments.
  • You demonstrate strong administrative skills with the ability to manage records process certifications and ensure compliance.
  • You have excellent relationshipbuilding skills engaging with trainers clubs and key stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of lifesaving water safety and emergency management is advantageous.
