Team Manager Quality
Responsibilities
What youll do...
- Develop and mentor plant personnel on the QOS coach and train on the appropriate use of standard Quality Tools.
- Deliver the plant Policy Deployment Process for Quality.
- Manage the daily weekly monthly quarterly Quality cadence for the plant (Daily Quality Reviews PIC VRT PQRs SAR reviews).
- Manage department direct and indirect manning.
- Lead monthly Local Joint Quality Meetings.
- Drive to implementation of corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool 6 panel etc.
- Resolve quality issues using 6sigma tools.
- Manage stability of the base QOS.
- Identify sources of variation within the production environment effectively and efficiently.
- Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis.
- Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements.
- Oversee the layout of parts as required.
- Lead the Incoming Quality activity.
- Provide feedback concerns to appropriate departments identified by dealers and customers related to quality.
- Pass through management for Warranty and Ford Plant Concerns.
- Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibility.
- Review incoming quality concerns; must have experience with initiating containment determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinate real time supplier quality concern feedback to production departments.
- Provide IQ support to contain suspect component concerns until certified stock arrives.
- Oversee the review of supplier 8Ds and the acceptance or rejection based on content.
- Provide updates on suppliers to Purchasing STA and plant management.
- Manage the reimbursement of plant expenses due to supplier quality concerns.
- Lead Quality in all New Model Launch activities.
- Travel to external suppliers and Ford Manufacturing locations required (as needed).
Qualifications
Youll have...
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
- Strong statistical background
- Language skills as required by the job
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate Servant Leadership behaviors combined with outstanding Ford OS behaviors of Excellence
Even better you may have...
- Quality engineering background preferred
- Engineering degree preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Ford Production System/Quality Operating System
- Working Knowledge of the following systems:
- Data Cubes/Common Metrics
- AWS
- BSAQ
- ECB
- GQRS
- QLS
