The Opportunity
We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to deliver exceptional care and lead innovative programs.

What Youll Do
As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will:
- Provide clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment to children adolescents and youth.
- Deliver leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams including general practitioners healthcare providers and community agencies.
- Oversee the implementation of the Infant Child and Adolescent Taskforce recommendations.
- Chair clinical review processes and ensure adherence to the Mental Health Act and other legislation.
- Advocate for mental health needs in planning forums and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Mentor and support mental health staff and general practitioners in a shared care model.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and professional development initiatives.

The Service provides free confidential and communitybased mental health care. Key programs include:
- Aboriginal Mental Health Program
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program
- Adult Youth and Seniors Mental Health Programs
Requirements
- Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or
- Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland (or as previously named the College of Anaesthetists of Ireland) (FCAI) together with a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST) or
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCA) together with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Experience in child and adolescent mental health.
- Strong leadership communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to quality improvement and evidencebased care.
