Job Description

About the role

This Quality Assurance Officer will enhance organisational standards in line with the Boards strategic direction. Youll be the goto for qualityrelated inquiries offering expert guidance to internal stakeholders. Youll monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to keep the organisation at the forefront of quality assurance and compliance. Additionally youll lead quality improvement initiatives fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning and work closely with staff and external stakeholders to meet the highest quality standards especially for internal and external audits.

Main Duties:

  • Support the organisations accreditation processes ensuring compliance and excellence in service delivery.
  • Oversee the organisations management system overseeing the review development and implementation of policies procedures and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve strategic quality improvement goals guiding quality control and systematic enhancements.
  • Lead and participate in project design planning implementation and evaluation of quality and compliance improvement projects.
  • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement across the organisation offering necessary quality tools and advice.
  • Develop and maintain proactive relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on quality assurance matters.
  • Facilitate the coordination and administration of the accreditation program playing a central role in managing other systems.
  • Partner with leaders to develop implement and review accreditation plans while also promoting quality improvement and safety activities.
  • Assist in maintenance and compliance to the highest level in Equal Employment Opportunity Code of Conduct Quality Improvement Performance Management and Confidentiality throughout the course of their duties.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of quality improvement strategies and processes identifying areas for refinement and enhancement.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and organisations to benchmark best practices and incorporate innovative approaches to quality improvement efforts.
  • Provide reports to leaders when needed regarding submission and timely review of documents.

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate in quality management systems internal/external auditing.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing priorities maintain attention to detail negotiate and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience working within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in quality assurance processes particularly in health or community service settings.

Desirable Criteria

  • Proven experience in leading and facilitating training sessions or workshops related to quality assurance practices and processes.
  • Proven ability to facilitate and manage accreditation processes and other audits.
