About the Role
We are looking for a FinOps Specialist to join our Technology team. This role will be responsible for optimizing cloud costs working closely with Engineering teams to ensure efficient resource allocation and financial accountability. The FinOps Specialist will also handle forecasting instance reservations and cost visibility reporting directly to the ITBudget & Expenses Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor analyze and optimize cloud spending across multiple services
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to implement costeffective cloud solutions
- Develop and maintain cloud cost forecasting models
- Manage Reserved Instances and Savings Plans to optimize longterm costs
- Provide visibility and insights into cloud expenses through dashboards and reports
- Define and promote best practices for cloud cost governance
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in cost management
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a FinOps role
- Handson experience with AWS (GCP or other cloud providers is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of cloud cost management tools (e.g. AWS Cost Explorer Google Cloud Billing CloudHealth Cloudability)
- Experience in financial forecasting budgeting and cost optimization strategies
- Ability to work crossfunctionally with Engineering Finance and Leadership teams
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
Nice to Have
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Experience with automation tools for cost management.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to present financial insights to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Proactive and selfdriven mindset.
