Job Description
KXAN seeks to hire a streaming content producer to produce and manage content for digital platforms including a connected television app YouTube channel and website live streams.
Responsibilities:
- Content creation:Work collaboratively with the team of video journalists and reporters to create content thats optimized for multiple platforms including broadcast television websites and social media
- Content curation:Schedule connected television app programming by crafting blocks of engaging content. Manage YouTube strategy to increase audience size and loyalty.
- Organization:Organize source materials into multimedia pieces and aggregated video streams.
- Live Stream Production: Assist with live streams of breaking news daily events and preplanned programming.
- Guest interview management:Book and produce conversations with invited guests both virtual and inperson.
Skills and experience:
- Experience producing streaming or social video content
- Understanding of digital platforms trends and audience behaviors
- Knowledge of WordPress OBS Akta or similar digital content management systems
- Strong writing and editorial ability
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- 3 years experience in a local newsroom preferred
Education:
- Degree in journalism video production or other fields related to media content management
