DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Aging Care Manager 1 you will be responsible for assessing the needs of older adults and developing care plans to meet those needs. Your work will involve completing annual recertification assessments for personal care home consumers recertifications for waiver programs and domiciliary care home consumer assessments. Your main goal will be to provide support and encourage independence for the elderly. You will also participate in training to learn the polices procedures rules and regulations that govern the programs administered by the Cambria County Area Agency on Aging.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
- A bachelors degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve 12 credits in social sciences behavioral sciences human services or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will requirea medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police clearance PA Child Abuse history clearance and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
