5 STAR Event Services is now hiring fun and safety people to join our team for Part Time Hourly employment to work races at COTA.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK race weekend 03/2803/30.
Come be a part of the EXCITEMENT of world class motorsports racing events at COTA!
Stay on with our team for permanent part time employment & work many other exciting events in the Central Texas area: HEB Center at Cedar Park Stubbs Waller Creek Amphitheater Round Rock Amphitheater Circuit of the Americas (All Racing Events Formula 1 NASCAR MotoGP) ACL Music Fest and many other events.

Duties:
- Enforce and uphold the integrity of public and private areas of the venue
- Access Control: monitor entry and exit points to specific areas of the venue
- Perform routine search procedures including bag searches and screening of guests their tickets bags credentials etc. prior to entry to ensure that no prohibited items enter the venue
- Greet and direct guests to seating areas and various services
- Maintain open and smooth access routes of patron/vehicle walkways
- Receive and act on complaints from patrons according to policies and procedures
- Enforce all policies and procedures throughout the facility and report any suspicious behaviors or activity
- Aide in the direction of orderly evacuation of the venue during emergencies
- Provide security escorts per event requirements
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliable forms of communication and transportation
- LEVEL 2 SECURITY: Texas NonCommissioned Guard Card (Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply pass exam submit to fingerprinting and criminal background check.
Skills and Abilities:
- A strong customerservice attitude and professional appearance
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to understand and interpret credentials documents signs rules policies and instructions
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients patrons and other employees
- The ability to multitask crosstrain and learn new skills quickly
- The ability to remain calm and levelheaded under highpressure situations
Physical Requirements:
- Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk stoop kneel crouch hear see and speak English clearly
- The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)
- The ability to lift 25lbs.
Work Environment:
- Elevated noise levels. Athletic and musical events can be very loud and employees must be prepared to be exposed to increased noise levels. Ear plugs are available upon request.
- An energetic and fastpaced environment
- Crowds
- Working outdoor venues. Some of the events we work take place outside or in openair venues and take place rain or shine. Reasonable accommodations are made to assist with employee comfort when necessary (tents rain ponchos drinking water etc.
- Evening and weekend work schedules. Many events take place in the evenings and on the weekends. Flexible availability is required.
