The Academy of Alameda is composed of two public charters the Academy of Alameda Elementary School and the Academy of Alameda Middle School. The Opportunity
The Academy is seeking a permanent substitute teacher for grades K8 who is committed to delivering highquality instruction in all subjects starting ASAP until the end of the school year. This person will resume all teaching duties to cover for the classroom teachers absence or provide support around the school as needed. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to equity and social justice holding a belief that all students deserve a school community where they are welcome seen and have access to a strong education. What You Will Bring:
Qualifications
- Passing score of California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- Bachelors Degree
- Must pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance
- California Teaching Credential or working on teaching credential (preferred)
*Note: If you dont have a teaching credential an emergency permit must be obtained after hired

Supervisor: Office Manager
Time Commitment
This position is a Fulltime 11 month position. Most staff will report early in August (exact calendar TBD).
