Job Description

We are looking for a Bilingual Manager Regional Field Technician working from Ontario remotely.

Xplore Installation Technicians are proud to be the face of the Xplore brand performing the best installation and repair services for our residential and business customers.
Reporting to the Director Regional Installation and Service this role will be responsible for the operational and safety performance of designated regions.

Key responsibilities include:

Direction and coordination of fieldbased installation and repair technicians.
Day to day performance management of the installation team with a goal of achieving daily key performance metrics while maintaining an excellent standard of service for customers.
Optimization of daily schedules for technicians to reduce travel times and increase productivity
Development and of field inspection and audit processes in regards to quality and safety of work completed.
Inventory management including exception requests to ensure technicians have required product to maximize productivity and positively impact NPS.
Conduct field inspections in regards to quality and safety of work. This may include the inspection of thirdparty work.
Provide ongoing performance management of all direct report employees including: coaching/mentoring career planning and annual and midyear performance reviews.
Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures.
Payroll management including approving daily timesheets vacation approvals and planning
Onboarding of new technicians from start to finish (interview orientation training ongoing support)
Develop implement and enforce health and safety rules regulations standards and procedures appropriate to the operations of the department
Investigates and evaluates requests for assistance on health and safety issues complaints and concerns regarding working conditions equipment methods and procedures
Expense management and approval for safety equipment and tools required for technicians
Maintain contact with cross functional teams to communicate workload status potential issue and emerging opportunities.
Monitor fleet management maintenance and safety inspections.
Oversight for team of installation technicians to deliver best in class customer service and quality results. This will include new installations repairs as well as during the performance of quality audits.
Assisting with implementing and monitoring the companys safety policy for the designated region.
Maintain system records with uptodate information that will be utilized by other customer facing teams in Xplore.
Review and approve timesheets expense reports vacation requests and training requests within the limits of authority.
Other work as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess:

2year degree in business or related field.
Bilingual (English and French)
Minimum of 2 years managing a team
Fiber experience is an asset.
Advanced interpersonal verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Advanced knowledge of computers and troubleshooting internet connections
Networking knowledge
Strong organization and planning skills with an attention to details
Must be willing to travel occasionally for meetings in designated region.
Professionalism and tact in representing the company to our customers (both internal and external)
A working knowledge of MS Office (in particular MS Project Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint).
Proven leadership communication and negotiating capabilities
Flexible work availability (may include the occasional weekend/ evening)
Comfortable working within a fastpaced dynamic environment
Strong time management skills
Knowledge of working standards of Health & Safety construction and CSA.
