Job Description

Job Title: Mobile Service Coordinator / Dispatcher

Job Summary:
The Mobile Service Coordinator/Dispatcher is responsible for managing and optimizing the daily operations of a mobile service team. This role ensures that work orders are efficiently scheduled and dispatched to field technicians maintaining strong communication between the office field staff and customers. The ideal candidate will be highly organized detailoriented and able to work in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch Coordination:

    • Receive and process incoming service requests via phone email or digital platforms.
    • Assign work orders to the appropriate mobile service technicians based on expertise location and urgency.
    • Monitor realtime status of field operations and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Scheduling and Routing:

    • Utilize routing and scheduling software to plan efficient routes for mobile service teams.
    • Coordinate appointment schedules and manage any changes or cancellations.
    • Ensure timely communication with customers regarding service times and any delays.
  • Communication and Support:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the field service team and office.
    • Provide support to technicians by troubleshooting dispatch issues and offering realtime guidance.
    • Maintain clear ongoing communication with customers to confirm appointments and relay updates.
  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Keep detailed records of service calls dispatch logs technician statuses and job completions.
    • Prepare daily weekly and monthly reports on operational performance.
    • Assist with billing and followup documentation as required.
  • Problem Resolution:

    • Quickly address and resolve any scheduling conflicts or service issues.
    • Escalate complex problems to the appropriate management or technical support when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dispatching logistics or a related field is a plus.
    • Proven experience in dispatch coordination or a related role preferably within a service or field operations environment.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
    • Proficient in using computer systems scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to multitask effectively in a fastpaced setting.
    • Strong problemsolving skills and the capacity to make decisions quickly under pressure.
  • Additional Attributes:

    • Customer service oriented with a proactive approach to service challenges.
    • Flexible schedule and ability to work extended hours during peak demand or emergencies.
    • Familiarity with mobile workforce management tools and GPS routing systems is beneficial.
