HUALAPAI PREFERENCE
Position: Utility Employee
Department: Hualapai Point
Classification: NonExempt
Salary Range:

Position Summary:
This is a multifunctioning operational position. This team member will assist in providing coverage in all Hualapai Point departments and positions where needed. The assisting positions include but are not limited to; providing Customer Service in all departments which include Concierge Desk Janitorial Housekeeping Gift Shop and Arcade. Candidate will provide quality customer service at all times while following safety and health procedures and policies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Gift Shop/Concierge Sell Tickets accommodate reservations checkins and payments. Accepts cash and cc payments utilizing POS system.
2. Room attendants are responsible for the upkeep of the cabins this includes laundry the surrounding area.
3. Perform janitorial duties throughout Hualapai Point in all departments indoors and outdoors as well as assisting with general maintenance duties.
4. Monitor and service arcade and arcade area.
  1. Assist guests with questions they have concerning Hualapai Point Grand Canyon West locations operations Hualapai history and culture. Provide outstanding customer service using high service standards.
6. Perform other workrelated duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Abilities:
1. Ability to routinely walk stand bend and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
2. Ability to work in outdoor environment for long periods of time including extreme weather conditions. .
3. Ability to work in a team environment and establish and maintain positive working relationships. Good client/customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as in support of the group effort.
4. Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
5. Basic mathematical skills.
6. Knowledge of Hualapai Point and what we have to offer this includes Grand Canyon West locations operations Hualapai history and culture.
Qualifications:
1. Good oral communication skills.
2. Valid Drivers License with clean driving record preferred.
3. High School Diploma or GED.
4. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work varying schedules weekends and holidays. Must be able to stand bend walk lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis. Must be able to push/pull up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis. Must be willing to work in an indoor and outdoor work environment with exposure to variable weather conditions. Must be willing work in remote locations and travel between remote work locations.


Applicant must pass a preemployment drug screen and extensive background check may be required. However preference may be given to persons of Indian decent in accordance with Public law 88353 Sectionand Public Law 93638 Section 7B



Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is whollyowned by the Hualapai Tribe and is located in Peach Springs Arizona. In 1988 the Hualapai People who have been part of this land since time immemorial established GCRC welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area. The year 1883 is when the reservation was established and occupiers are usually foreign to the land they occupy. To further increase tourism in the area the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass horseshoeshaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West suspending them 4000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.
