Premier Truck Rental (PTR) is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a focused detailoriented environment and has a strong understanding of billing processes beyond simple data entry. Unlike traditional billing roles this position requires analytical thinking and the ability to navigate billing discrepancies without defaulting to standard solutions like issuing credit memos based solely on report suggestions.
COMPENSATION
This position offers a competitive compensation package benchmarked to regional market standards consisting of an hourly base pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

HOURS
Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM ET
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate and process invoices for miscellaneous charges including return freight delivery freight and other additional services
- Review approximately 60 new return orders daily ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies in billing reports.
- Resolve billing issues by collaborating with internal teams including occasional communication with the sales team via Teams or email (not customerfacing).
- Manage return credit reports and ensure proper documentation for all billing adjustments.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry while questioning and resolving inconsistencies as needed.
- Support process improvements by participating in developing structured training materials including checklists and guides for consistent billing procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- What This Role Is (and Isnt)
- Headsdown detailfocused role: Ideal for someone who prefers working independently in a quiet cubiclebased setting.
- No cash application responsibilities: This position doesnt involve processing credit cards ACH payments or handling cash applications.
- Not collectionsfocused: While this role may involve AR data entry it will not include following up with customers or pursuing overdue payments.
- Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in billing particularly in complex or nonstandard invoicing environments
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies independently
- Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with accounting software systems
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial documentation
