The 911 GIS Technician I is responsible for duties associated with the advanced maintenance and the basic quality control of databases that are used for 911 and public safety. The position assists with manipulating the data used for location identification within the 911 system. This position will require the use of GIS as the primary tool for data creation editing comparison maintenance and quality control. This position assists with gathering reviewing and field verifying addressees and change of addresses throughout St. Johns County. This position will use GIS as a principal method to work with and communicate with other departments and agencies regarding 911 and public safety. This position will support the information vital to 911 emergency dispatching call taking 911 location identification and all other public safety functions. This position requires public outreach and effective communication with the vested public of St. Johns County.
Regular attendance is critical to the success of this position and assignment and is required of all Agency personnel.
