About the Role:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and customeroriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to our internal teams and customers ensuring smooth daytoday operations. If you have a passion for solving technical problems and supporting users this role could be a great fit for you. This is a fully remote position open only to candidates located in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide firstlevel technical support for software hardware and networking issues.
Respond to helpdesk tickets and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot and resolve system application and hardware issues for employees and clients.
Install and configure new hardware and software systems ensuring they meet company requirements.
Maintain and update user accounts system configurations and network settings.
Assist with setting up remote work environments including VPN and cloudbased tools.
Document and track all technical issues and their resolutions to build a knowledge base.
Collaborate with other IT staff on more complex issues system upgrades or projects.
Monitor and maintain system performance ensuring systems are up to date and secure.
Provide user training and support on basic technical issues software applications and troubleshooting steps.
Participate in troubleshooting of network and server issues working closely with network engineers.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.
1 years of experience in IT support technical support or helpdesk roles.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows macOS Linux) and common software applications (Microsoft Office VPN etc..
Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP DNS DHCP etc..
Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g. Zendesk ServiceNow Freshservice).
Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to solving technical issues.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
IT certifications such as CompTIA A Network or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Microsoft Azure Google Cloud).
Familiarity with Active Directory and Windows Server.
Experience with IT security best practices and protocols.
