Job Description
Delta Christian School is looking to bring on a fulltime Grades 4 Teacher 1.0 FTE) to join our team for theschool year.
DCS is a dynamic learning community (K to 7 located in Ladner a suburb of Vancouver British Columbia. Our community places an emphasis on a partnership between home and school as a way of living out our mission to equip children for life.

Education: A Bachelors Degree in Education
Certification: BC Teaching certification or transferable equivalent
Work Experience: K7 Elementary teaching experience
Duties:
In general elementary school and kindergarten teachers:
- Use a structured plan of lessons discussions audiovisual presentations and field trips along with flexible instruction based on students interests
- Prepare lessons based on approved curriculum and school district guidelines
- Provide or coordinate handson practical learning experiences
- Lead students in activities to promote their physical mental and social development
- Prepare give and mark tests and assignments
- Monitor students progress and discuss with parents
- Identify childrens individual learning needs
- Manage various learning styles and behaviour types
- Work with educational assistants to modify lessons for students needing extra help
- Take part in staff meetings conferences and teacher education workshops
