JLL Design Lab 3D Design Visualization Director
The Role:
Reporting to JLL Design Advisory Lab Lead the 3D Design Visualization Directors primary role is focused on creative excellence knowledge and technical expertise in all phases of the visualization process. Is integral to the handson interpretation of briefs and the creation of designs into visuals and animations through craft and collaboration.
Your primary role will be to build a team thatproduces compelling architectural visualisations animations motion graphics and realtime experiences within the practice for use at concept stages construction marketing and final presentations to differentiate and win in the market.
The Responsibilities
What this job involves:
- Works closely with design leaders and the strategic lead to create compelling and inspiring creative possibilities this role needs to demonstrate autonomy from concept to delivery including presentation creation and narrative.
- Prepare 3D visual presentation material for client meetings.
- Use experience and passion to demonstrate intelligent thoughtprovoking and innovative creative solutions establishing a strong conceptual and creative point of view.
- Take ownership and ensure the timely delivery of all creative upholding the studios exceptionalcreative standards.
- Work closely with Global Design Advisory Lab Lead & Creative Design Directors to review the time allocation for projects ensuring design resource is identified allocated and planned accordingly to satisfy the success of a project and its delivery.
- Respond quickly and accurately to client feedback demonstrating professionalism and understanding to exceed client expectations.
- Demonstrate commercial acumen and work in partnership with the operations to ensure all of your projects are delivered to scope time and budget in a professional and compliant manner.
- Ability to articulate your point of view clearly both verbally and through written and creative methods.
- Bring insight opinions and a broad cultural perspective along with a deep understanding of the design landscape and process in order to positively affect the creative outcome.
- The ability to multitask across multiple workstreams is key.
- An innovative mind to help bring new concepts and products to life using existing and emergingtechnologies for 3D and artificial intelligence
- Your creative eye and technical skills will be able to take a scamp and bring that vision to life
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of 3D programmes including Cinema 4D and Keyshot
- You will be highly proficient with modelling staging lighting materials and textures to createexceptional visuals
- Expert retouching skills
- Adobe Creative Suite
- You will work collaboratively with the design team to help realize 3D and visual assets for a widerange of purposes
- Good understanding of photography & composition
- Be able to think holistically about the creative solutions not just the visual outcome and have strong communicative skills in portraying this thought process to the rest of the team.
- First and foremost must have experience with the built environment and must hold a relevant degree in either Interior Design Architecture or have 15 years experience in a relevant field.
- Have experience delivering multiple projects from conception to completion across all stages of design.
- Client facing taking briefs and conceptualizing challenging real world scenarios across all sectors of design using advanced 3D Skills.
- Have experience delivering full documentation packages from base build to complex joinery packages. Must have an exceptional eye for detail and be able to 3d model and render highly detailed construction solutions without need for technical reference
- Have experience liaising with other professionals suppliers and providing on site supervision.
- Provide conceptual and creative support to the design director and be able to mentor or manage a team of people offering support on both construction detailing and all aspects of the 3d pipeline.
- Must have excellent experience with all aspects of the 3d pipeline having delivered multiple renderings and animations to studio production level.
- Must be able to strategize and project manage deliverables within the 3d pipeline to meet demanding deadlines.
- Ideally have experience modelling and rendering complexed interior environments across all sectors of design including high end luxury hospitality commercial corporate and retail.
- Ideally have experience modelling and rendering complex exterior architectural scenes incorporating challenging organic landscapes and vegetation eco systems.
- Must have high level 3d modelling skills to create and render bespoke furniture items.
- Experience with 3d sculpting software such as Z Brush
- Must understand and be able to unwrap uvw maps and create PBR materials for export to real time rendering engines.
- Must have extensive knowledge of preparing optimising and exporting assets between various 3d packages and rendering engines.
- Must have experience with both camera and object animation as well as incorporating VR and AR.
- Must have good knowledge of the Adobe Suite for the post production of both stills and animations.
- Ability to Multitask and prioritise work

Software Requirements
- Complete fluency within the path from 2D design and technical documentation through to production CGI rendering and animation is required. The following paths are desired.
- Vectorworks or Archicad to Cinema 4D to Redshift Corona or Vray and then on to real time engines Unreal Vantage or Octane.
- Autocad or Sketchup to 3DS Max Corona or Vray and then on to real time engines Unreal Vantage or Octane.
- Rhino 3d to Vray and then on to real time engines Unreal Vantage or Octane.
- Adobe Suite: Premiere Pro After Effects InDesign Photoshop and Ilustrator.
