We are seeking a highly skilled multidisciplinary Mobile Engineer with expertise in a variety of trades including HVAC electrical plumbing general building maintenance and fabric work (such as painting and basic carpentry). This position requires a flexible proactive individual who will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance and repair of facilities across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate should have strong problemsolving abilities good communication skills and a keen eye for detail. A company van will be provided to support travel between locations.
Location: Cumbria Durham Northumberland and North Yorkshire A1/A66 Corridor between Newcastle upon Tyne and North Yorkshire would be an ideal location.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday occasional oncall/weekend work

What this job involves:
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform reactive and planned maintenance work on a range of building systems including electrical plumbing heating and cooling systems.
- Fabric Work & Painting: Handle a variety of fabric works such as painting plastering decorating patch repairs and general carpentry tasks (e.g. door adjustments replacing locks etc..
- Inspection & Repair: Carry out routine inspections identifying potential issues and performing the necessary repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of all building systems.
- HVAC & Electrical: Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues (e.g. lighting and HVAC systems ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Plumbing: Repair plumbing systems (e.g. fixing leaks unclogging drains repairing pipes).
- Preventative Maintenance: Complete regular checks on equipment and facilities ensuring proactive maintenance is undertaken.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations carrying out risk assessments and ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
- Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients responding to issues quickly and efficiently while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work completed including logging jobs on a mobile device completing paperwork and reporting to supervisors as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a multiskilled engineer preferably within a mobile or fieldbased role.
- Strong background in general building maintenance fabric work and painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Basic carpentry skills including door and lock repairs.
- Experience with plastering decorating and surface preparation (essential).
- Relevant qualifications in one or more trades (e.g. NVQ City & Guilds) would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards and regulations.
- Full clean UK driving license (essential).
