Our Institutional Research Group is looking for an experienced analyst to join our Healthcare and Life Sciences coverage. As a valued team member youll hone your existing analytical skills develop meaningful insight into a fascinating industry and contribute to our bestinclass private capital research. The research this team produces is utilized by many of the largest private capital investors investment banks and service providers globally. Our team is creative driven and focused on providing the most actionable research to our readers and clients.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Drive PitchBooks private market healthcare coverage by tracking venture capital and private equity deal activity market trends and product innovation
• Publish quarterly updates and other notes with a focus on trends in Healthcare Services and Healthtech highlighting valuations deal activity and emerging trends
• Manage directtoclient distribution channels for published notes and reports
• Engage with investor and corporate clients to support thesis development industry networking due diligence competitive intelligence market mapping business development and other use cases
• Manage and maintain relevant datasets using the PitchBook platform that include company ecosystems deals investors funds and valuation to support client use cases
• Engage with clients via online and inperson meetings to discuss research and support sales strategies
• Contribute to ongoing efforts to streamline internal processes to help scale research output to meet growing clientdemand for research and insights
• Shape research offerings by understanding client needs and developing innovative solutions using proprietary data and partnerships
• Serve as research point of contact for various speaking engagements and press requests
• Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
• Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Economics or Computer Science preferred
• 5 years research experience either in equity research investment banking venture capital or other related financial services role
• Eagerness to contribute to building new products and services that cater to the needs of the private market industry
• Strong knowledge of Healthcare Services and Healthcare Technology and the related ecosystem of service providers and technologies
• Demonstrated experience writing investment research and conducting regular conversations with clients related to investment opportunities preferably in the healthcare industry
• Strong understanding of financial concepts such as valuation techniques (Discounted Cash Flow comps etc. Internal Rate of Returns asset allocations fund benchmarks KPIs etc.
• Strong interest in and demonstrated understanding of venture capital growth equity and emerging technologies
• Detail oriented / analytical mindset
• Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
• Excel proficiency
• Experience with the PitchBook Platform a plus
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including indepth knowledge of Outlook Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

• Annual base salary: $150000$170000
• Target annual bonus percentage: 10

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a locationbased compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.

Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that its helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3 days/week and some are expected to work in the office 45 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3 days/week and that you are in the office fulltime during the training period for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an ongoing basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
