As a member of Nova Scotia Healths Emergency Preparedness team and in collaboration with Trauma Nova Scotia the Consultant Mass Casualty Trauma Program is responsible for assessing planning implementing evaluating and maintaining the Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) structure in the province. This is achieved by developing governance documents plans and processes delivering education and training designing delivering and evaluating exercises incident evaluation through an afteraction process and implementing lessons learned through an improvement plan. This includes stakeholder engagement with internal and external partners including EHS RCMP/municipal police services and the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Consultant will engage leaders at all levels physicians and staff develop and deliver presentations to all levels of leadership within Nova Scotia Health. The Consultant will work with the Emergency Preparedness program in supporting the maintenance of the sitelevel Code Orange Plans.

The Consultant will be available to support the Nova Scotia Health Emergency Preparedness program during emergencies and disasters; including but not limited to supporting the Nova Scotia Health Incident Management System.
