Job Description
Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to all activities related to the administration of computerized databases.
- Projects long range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function.
- Includes database design database structure identification database schema definition database access privilege management database query optimization documentation database instance upgrades longrange requirements operational guidelines and database protection.
- Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a webbased environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
- Advises users on access to various webbased databases.
- Designs implements and maintains complex databases access methods access time device allocation validation checks organization protection and security documentation and statistical methods.
- Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies development methodologies and front end /backend programming languages (e.g. SQL).
- Performs database programming and supports systems design.
- Maintaining information assurance (IA) security documentation and artifacts for SQL databases.
- Includes maintenance of database dictionaries overall monitoring of standards and procedures file design and storage and integration of systems through database design.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Five 5 years progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle PL SQL SQL SQQ Lite TSQL MS Access.
- At least three years handson experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems.
- Familiarity with technical controls in the Risk Management Framework as they apply to SQL databases.
- Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages.
- Has experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible foradministering operating maintaining and securing a largescale computer database.
- Minimum TS/SCI with PolygraphClearance.
- Active Computing Environment Certification: MS SQL Server 2016 and up (Desired)
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide teams towards achieving project goals and deliverables.
- Highly motivated selflearner and technically inquisitive
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems.
- Guide & Support Junior level personnel.
