We believe the historical tradeoff between price (tuition) and quality is a false dichotomy.
PrimerOS automates and eliminates much of the costs of traditional schools. Microschools have a structural advantage assetlight real estate which means much lower capex and opex. You put it together and you get something thats never existed before: a worldclass education thats accessible to normal American families and can rapidly scale.
Primer is seeking a Florida/Alabama Licensed Architect with experience in school conversion projects to join our team. This role focuses on guiding projects through early analysis design permitting and value engineering while ensuring code compliance and efficient project delivery.
Code Analysis and Test Fits:
Conduct initial code analysis to assess project feasibility and compliance.
Perform initial test fits to evaluate design potential and space utilization for school conversion projects.
Design and Plan Development:
Create detailed plans for project design ensuring alignment with local codes and regulations.
Manage plan production for existing portfolio projects to address code compliance requirements.
Permitting and Project Management:
Oversee permit management processes to ensure timely approvals and compliance with local departments.
Manage additional third parties as needed: Civil FLS specialist etc.
Leverage local relationships to streamline permitting and project .
Value Engineering:
Identify costsaving opportunities through value engineering while maintaining design integrity and functionality.
Relationship Building:
Cultivate strong relationships with local stakeholders including permitting agencies contractors and consultants to facilitate project success.
Active architectural license in Florida and Alabama (required).
Proven experience in school conversion projects with a strong understanding of educational facility design.
Indepth knowledge of local building codes fire codes ADA zoning regulations and permitting processes in FL/AL.
Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit) and project management tools.
Excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
