As a Therapeutic Activities Worker you will will work with inmates with serious mental illness being housed in theDiversionary Treatment Unit (DTU).You will work with a multidisciplinary treatment team and usespecific therapeutic recreation and programs that meet prescribed therapeutic goals. You will assess levels of functioning develop and monitor therapeutic objectives and conduct individual and group therapeutic recreation sessions. This role requires the ability to consistently review and evaluate inmate progress and recommend changes that meet individual needs interests and abilities. In addition you will submit participation reports order supplies and equipment necessary to conduct therapeutic recreation programming and participate in crisis intervention and resolution as problems arise on the unit.
