Position Summary
The Associate Director of SchoolBased Mental Health Services will collaborate with the Director of School Based Services in overseeing the development implementation and evaluation of schoolbased mental health services. This position ensures highquality care compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with the organizations mission and goals. The Associate Director Provide leadership and supervision of clinical and administrative practices for the School Based (SB) program.
Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight The Associate Director is expected to ensure effective clinical oversight of SB services including:
1. Provide effective and supportive clinical and administrative supervision on a program level as well as for program supervisors individual caseloads.
2. Ensure the program supervisors are providing effective clinical supervision for their supervisees. Provide supervision coverage as needed.
3. Assure adequate internal systems and processes to support effective decision making and program implementation.
4. Ensure compliance with Rule 29 Rule 79 Rule 47 Minnesota Health Care Providers manual CTSS Medical Assistance/CMS state and HIPAA data privacy and security and commercial health plan clinical requirements.
5. Ensure clinicians and program supervisors are following agency clinical policies as documented in the Clinical Policies and Procedures manual.
6. Partner with the Quality Assurance Supervisor SB Director and CCO on quality assurance efforts including documentation completion peer review audits and site visits.
7. Work with program supervisors and clinicians to reliably collect outcomes data and use as appropriate for assessment of treatment progress consultation evaluation quality improvement and reporting purposes.
8. Support program supervisors in conjunction with consultants in leading clinically helpful and meaningful case consultations.
9. Participate in Complex Case Consultations with clinicians and program supervisors as needed.
10. Provide effective SB (outpatient level) assessment and therapy services per required CSE.
Program Management The Associate Director is responsible for providing effective program management including:
1. Support program supervisors in leading Team meetings to focus on sharing agency news/updates providing training on EHR or other internal systems and building connections and support among teammates.
2. Provide oversight of consultation groups and facilitate communication with consultants as needed.
3. Collaborate with the SB Director COO program supervisors and administrative support as well as external referral sources to refine systems to improve access streamline systems and facilitate the intake process.
4. Review data reports for all programs and meet regularly with program supervisors to discuss data and outcomes for their programs as well as other programmatic issues.
5. Assure the development and implementation of appropriate action plans by program supervisors to address budget performance or outcome issues.
6. Collaborate with the Director to ensure successful implementation of Agency administrative practices related to clinical programs.
7. Work with program supervisors to ensure that all clinicians and programs are maintaining budget.
8. Assure effective program support for agency EDI goals and participate in such efforts as appropriate.
9. Create a positive respectful inclusive work environment.
10. Ensure appropriate documentation of program processes.
Community Relations The Associate Director is expected to build and maintain community relationships including:
1. Represent the agency in the community as needed for collaboration and external communication.
2. Build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance outreach and maintain effective relationships.
Leadership The Associate Director will act as a leader in the Agency including:
1. In partnership with the Director this role will develop and implement strategic goals for the programs.
2. Participate in Agency Supervisors team and small group meetings and any other agency groups or teams as needed to provide communication support and training to program supervisors.
3. Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as agreed upon with the SB Director and CCO.
4. Support train and evaluate SB program supervisors.
5. Complete timely annual performance evaluations for all supervisees with clear professional development plans.
6. Provide weekly individual supervision with each direct report and weekly group supervision to program supervisor groups.
Qualifications:
* Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy is required.
* 510 years of experience providing and supervising mental health services to children is required.
* 10 years of experience providing and supervising mental health services to children is preferred.
* Independent licensure as a mental health professional in social work psychology or marriage and family therapy is required.
