We have a fabulous job opportunity for a Handy Person to join our awesome Team here in SwindonWe are the multi skilled handson practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers.

As a business we support customers with differing support and mental health needs in a wide range of properties and grounds. As our handy person youll spend much of your time working across our different services / extra care service and or properties.

Typical day as a Handy Person

• Covering multiple projects over Swindon and Wiltshire to carry out handy person duties.
• Doing minor or emergency repairs decorative touches or even cleaning in our properties or communal areas
• Doing things like hanging curtain poles moving furniture touching up paints changing tap washers unblocking sinks mowing lawns and clearing grounds or properties.
• Carrying out regular Fire Safety checks
• Working with colleagues commercial partners and customers throughout your day.
• Liaising with our Customer Service Centre and external contractors to report repairs outside of your remit and chase up outstanding works.
• Finally if building flat pack furniture is your thing then this is the perfect job for you!

About You

• A team player with a cando attitude and enthusiasm.
• Youre multi skilled with general maintenance skills know a bit about general repairs carpentry basic plumbing and can wield a broom or paint brush!
• Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life
• It would be amazing if you have been a handy person in a previous job but its not a deal breaker.
• Able to use technology for describe the task systems are used for
• To get from A to B youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that well pay your mileage!

Job details

• Wework Monday to Friday 9 am 5 pm but were flexible and as long as we can meet our customers need we can flex your work patterns to suit you.
• Based at our service in west Swindon youll work at 6 Project sites across the whole of Swindon to include west Swindon Town Centre Old Town and Old Walcott and 1 site in Calne Wiltshire.
• Occasionally travel outside of our patch / service to work on a property that you may not have worked on before or when we have an allhandson deck situation.
• Youll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
