Job Responsibilities:
As a Executive Cost & Contract your role will assist the Cost & Contract Team on the following:
- Support the team in ensuring effectiveness and consistency in application of internal policies and procedures for construction contracts and consultancy service agreements.
- Support project team on contract matters procurement strategy and tendering procedures.
- Engage and liaise with external consultants contractors and suppliers including managing a registry of these approved external providers.
- Advise project team on construction costs tender indices market trends benchmarking value engineering and construction related cost risks.
- Maintain development cost database and provide regular cost reports.
- Support the team in using financial indicators trends and models identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Execute procurement of provisional sum items for projects.
Other ongoing tasks and responsibilities include:
- Provide construction cost input for project feasibility studies.
- Drive business process/continuous improvement initiatives.
- Update of project cost information/status.
- Safekeeping of contract documents and drawings statement of final accounts performance bonds and insurance policies (if any)
- Perform other duties as assigned or instructed.
Working environment entails
- Walking job sites which have areas of uneven terrain.
- Work at heights.
- Work in a noisy environment.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Work environment applicable to operation team
- Regularly lift and/or move items and participate in group lifts.
- Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration.
- Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment.
- May require bending or twisting the body to access equipment while working.
- Involves performing physical tasks all day.
- Use hands to manipulate small wires and objects.
- Push or pull objects into position.
Job Requirements:
- 1 3 years minimum relevant working experience as quantity surveyor and/or in data centre industry preferred.
- Must be from a consultancy firm background
- Candidates with experience working for Developer would be an added advantage
- Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent
- Good understanding in building services/data centre project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel
- Good communications skills and good command of written and spoken English. Additional language will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently meticulous analytical proactive and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Must be willing to travel to Malaysia & Indonesia once a month
