Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Repairs Contract Manager on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 29.73 38.81 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership and management to multi functional teams ensuring effective planning development organisation and prioritisation of workloads to ensure effective and efficient operations across the team as a whole.
- Lead and manage as the expert the portfolio assigned . Engage with others at a similar level across the council and within other organisations to ensure that Southwark leads the way in the management and maintenance of its housing stock bringing direction and innovation being seen as the exemplar of best practice.
- Leading a strong performance management culture which encompasses challenging targets for all areas of activity to meet the Fairer Future objectives and values.
- Proactive delivery of an inspection and contract audit service using lean review and systems thinking principles to delver a right first time service.
- Ensure compliance with statutory repairing obligations good practice guidelines and council policy. Ensure that the councils housing stock is compliant with legislative requirements and future revisions.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of building construction & maintenance related contracts.
- Knowledge of tendering processes and contract management.
- Understanding of landlord/tenant matters leaseholder consultation requirements and contract dispute and resolution.
- A Technical qualification HNC Building Studies or equivalent or working toward that qualification.
