Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ophthalmology Research Team at the Western Eye Hospital part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and play a pivotal role in helping to deliver new potentially life changing treatments to our patients. This post will provide essential support to our growing Ophthalmology Research Team coordinating data processes for clinical research projects.
This is a varied challenging and exciting role and will suit someone that has ambitions to develop their skills. You must be highly motivated organised and have experience of working without close supervision and be able to multitask within close deadlines.
The post holder will be based at Western Eye Hospital's Clinical Trials Unit.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will support the aims of the Trust and the NIHR Research Delivery Network to improve the speed quality and integration of clinical research through the successful delivery of clinical research in the NHS.
- The post holder will support the administration of the day to day activity of the clinical delivery team coordination of the studies with other clinical trial centres.
- The main focus of the role will be in supporting the delivery teams in the administrative tasks relating to clinical research for example site files maintenance data compliance.
- The post holder will ensure that any research undertaken safeguards the wellbeing of research participants and is conducted to ICH Good Clinical Practice.
