Life Saving Victoria is Victorias peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations the Royal Life Saving Society Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteerbased community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.
Our volunteers members employees and partners work together with communities educational institutions government agencies businesses and the broader aquatic industry to save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
Were looking for a Lead Specialist People and Culture to join our People and Culture team on a fulltime ongoing basis. Located at our Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting into the Senior Manager People & Culture this exciting part time role will be responsible for but not limited to:
Your key responsibilities will include:
Partner with each Business Unit to recruit induct and onboard new starters that creates a positive employee experience and meets workforce planning needs.
Working crossfunctionally to deliver employee lifecycle efforts effectively including employee relations performance and systems management.
Provide support to staff managers and leaders on queries related to people practices policies and procedures and recommending changes to improve engagement and productivity.
Champion and drive initiatives and programs that support positive culture and embed our organisational values and behaviours
This role will actively be involved with the continuous improvement projects and initiatives including annual review of policies processes and systems and consultation activities that comply with legislation regulations and best practice.
Support and contribute to a people related programs and frameworks including recognition workforce planning employee benefits and capability and remuneration framework.
Support organisation wide culture and wellbeing events throughout the year which promote engage and celebrate LSVs workforce
Support the delivery of periodical reports and identifying trends to support our people practices
You are a proactive detailoriented professional with a passion for contemporary people practices and the employee experience. You thrive in a fastpaced environment and are skilled at building relationships influencing key stakeholders and driving continuous improvement. With a strong commitment to creating a positive change you excel at problemsolving managing multiple projects and working collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Key requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management Business Law or related disciplines
5 years experience developing people manager capability coaching leaders and providing advice to management and employees on application of policies and procedures.
Sound knowledge of best practice and employment legislation and frameworks with a commitment to stay across development and trends.
Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and highvolume recruitment such as MartianLogic Job Adder Taleo HR Bamboo etc
Experience working crossfunctionally in a business partnering or shared services team.
Desirable:
Demonstrated experience working with membershipbased organisations or similar profile workforce.
Experience working with planning tools such as Monday
