Summary

Bowling Green State University invites applicants for a fulltime qualified rank faculty (Assistant Teaching Professor) twelvemonth renewable appointment to join the undergraduate degree program in Resort and Attraction Management with a start date of July 2025.

Information about Program and College
BGSU has partnered with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation to offer the only Bachelor of Science in resort and attraction management (RAAM) of its kind. This innovative partnership prepares graduates for leadership opportunities in the resort and attraction management industry. A signature feature of the partnership is guaranteed and paid coops for students in the program at select Six Flags properties. Junior and senior classes are taught at an academic facility near Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky Ohio. The RAAM program can be completed inperson or online. Essential Functions

Provide excellent instruction of inperson and online undergraduate courses in the program.
Use strategies and skills necessary to support student learning outcomes and prepare and deliver current and relevant course material in an understandable and motivating manner.
Contribute to the development of courses throughout the program and the delivery of a quality student learning experience.
Engage in course design and management curriculum and revisions and new course validation process.
Participate in and support the accreditation and program review processes by providing teaching learning and administrative support as a member of the RAAM unit.
Envision and engage in study abroad and away student experiences.
Evaluate student performance.
Meet with students as needed for advising scheduling and discussing concerns.
Build collaborative partnerships with leaders in RAAM and university stakeholders to advance the image and status of the program.
Support student recruitment retention and graduation efforts.
Identify develop and maintain industry contacts for coop and career opportunities that enhance and align with the RAAM program.
Participate actively in the programs recruitment.
Participate in related service and professional development activities as appropriate.
Perform other jobrelated tasks as may relate to maintaining and improving the quality of the education program.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in hospitality tourism visitor attraction management business or a related discipline
Four years of supervisory or management experience in amusement parks or other attraction venues hotels resorts or food & beverage

Preferred Qualifications

More than four years experience in amusement parks or other attraction venues
Previous teaching experience at an accredited university
Ph.D in hospitality tourism visitor attraction management business or a related discipline
