Primary Location:

  • Provides services at the assigned day care program site(s).

Consumers:

  • Oversees the supervision and care quality of children enrolled in daycare services.
  • Assists children building skills that promote development school readiness and socialemotional regulation.
  • Ensures quality provision of services and activities through training staff reviewing lesson plans and observations.
  • Assesses physical and emotional wellbeing of participants addresses issues to ensure health and safety; identifies needs and provides referrals/linkages to other services.
  • Establishes and conveys program limits and boundaries in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assures the provision of consistent nonjudgmental services using a trauma informed care approach.
  • Manages program enrollment tuition and parent engagement.
  • Ensures the maintenance of records lesson plan child files and prepares reports as assigned.

Other:

  • Manages communication ensures records/required documentation remains up to date and ensures all safety and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Manages availability of slots maintains a wait list to fill slots within 2 weeks of vacancy.
  • Reviews tuition payments weekly addresses unpaid tuition promptly and works with Financial Manager for any outstanding balances.
  • Ensure accuracy of Brightwheel data.
  • Provides direct supervision to staff including recruitment hiring training and performance management coaching and discipline. Assists Center Manager in the same as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with OCFS regulations program policies and procedures and monitors program activities at site.
  • Leads program directs and supervises the work of program staff and activities.
  • Independently manages situations and resolves problems regarding children parents tuition programming relationships and staff; assesses when to seek assistance/inform Center Manager.
  • Provides progress updates regarding program outcomes to Coordinator and Director.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with parents DSS OCFS and accounting.
  • Meets regularly with Center Manager to address issues or concerns.
  • Manages public relations activities for assigned site; engages in PR activities for the program/service area as needed.
  • Assists Coordinator in assessing program and implementing program changes to ensure effectiveness.
  • Maintains program records collects/maintains data and completes required reporting of stakeholders timely and accurately.
  • Attends OCO Education Services meetings completes required training and participates in internal/external meetings as assigned.
  • Facilitates individual and team staff meetings to ensure communication among team problem solve and plan programming.

Fulltime 37.5 hours per week Full year

Grade 10

Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm
