Job Description

Burnside is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Field Services team as Field Services Representatives (Junior Construction Inspectors).

Our ideal candidate is someone who excels in learning on the go values fairness fosters strong working relationships with all parties involved maintains meticulous notes and consistently goes the extra mile to ensure topnotch service delivery to our clients during all stages of projects from start of construction to municipal assumption.

The Role:

As part of our team youll work with your manager in coordinating daily projects conducting full time periodic and / or resident inspections to ensure projects align with drawings and specifications. Your role will involve liaising between owners clients contractors and various project stakeholders. Youll primarily focus on private development client projects.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting onsite reviews and coordinating tasks with clients and contractors.
  • Ensuring construction progress aligns with approved designs and specifications.
  • Collaborating with governing bodies and thirdparty agencies to support contracts.
  • Generating and distributing comprehensive site inspection reports.
  • Organizing and documenting project stakeholder meetings and producing meeting minutes.
  • Assessing monthly contractor progress claims and reviewing design drawing constructability.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents.
  • Reviewing project asbuilt information and
  • other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in Civil Engineering or Construction inspection.
  • Successful completion of a postsecondary program in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of office dynamics and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication with diverse stakeholders including contractors the public and municipal staff.

Note: You should be available for occasional evening and weekend work to facilitate project inspections and administration. A valid drivers license and regular access to a vehicle are essential for commuting to project locations.
