About the Role:
Motive Technologies is looking for an Technical Lead Manager Embedded Safety software who is passionate about building new product driver safety features. We need an experienced and ambitious leader who can think architecturally articulate a compelling longterm technical vision develop and execute realistic implementation plans and manage our Engineering team.
What Youll Do:
- Define and implement a technology vision for building new product features for fleet safety
- Manage the product and business outcomes of the engineering teams.
- Develop a longterm product roadmap in collaboration with product teams.
- Lead technical design discussions by collaborating with multiple teams including Device Device software Product Backend AI team & Data Science teams.
- Drive the launch and daily operations of functionalities for internal/external customers at consistently high quality Introduce and continuously evolve cuttingedge development release and operations processes
- Develop document and improve best practices and coding standards
- Hire manage and develop a diverse team of highly qualified Engineers. This includes providing expert technical guidance effective coaching and career development
- As needed contribute to development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments to gain and deepen an understanding of our codebase and business processes
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience in Embedded software Engineering working on cameras or embedded systems
- Handson experience on Linux based multimedia embedded systems.
- Proficient in C/C coding skills.
- Has experience working in implementing and optimizing algorithms on the connected devices.
- Experience in deploying device software on large scale devices in the field.
- 3 years of experience managing 10 engineers
- 5 years experience in building highscale distributed systems for a product company
- Have technical depth and breadth in the following areas: agile product development distributed systems infrastructure embedded application development Edge AI development efficient algorithm deployment on the edge build tools..
- Ability to perform architectural work including the development of technical designs and definition of requirements based on an explanation of business issues experienced by internal/external customers and vendors
- Proven track record as a nimble and proactive thinker and doer who thrives in an environment that demands excellence
- A high degree of comfort with short release cycles owning the full software lifecycle and deep experience working on a product for public consumption
- Passion for continuous experimentation and learning coupled with a desire to make things run faster and better
- Demonstrated success in leading technical initiatives while partnering with cross functional teams.
- An opinion on and a solid understanding of what makes for a strong healthy and productive Engineering culture.
- A track record as a strong individual contributor earlier in your career with continued interest in rolling up your sleeves and pitch in with coding yourself when needed
