Bermello Ajamil (BA) a Woolpert Company is hiring a Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic Buildings Team at our Coral Gables Florida office. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for project planning development and and management of technical documentation. Qualified candidates will be experienced with hospitality and commercial projects from strategic planning and conceptual design through construction drawings and construction administration.

As a Senior Interior Designer at Bermello Ajamil (BA) a Woolpert Company you will:

• Design interior projects and participate in all phases of design development
• Collaborate with new and existing clients
• Knowledge of finish options and proper applications according to project budget
• Preparation of presentations and design drawings
• Coordinate design teams
• Develop and coordinate detailed design concepts with ability to develop functional requirements and projectdesign criteria.
• Demonstrate understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts with ability to develop design element components.
• Coordinate integration of basic engineering systems into the overall project design.
  Respond to technical implications of design decisions.
• Facilitate firm and project goals of excellence in design and sustainability.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree in architecture or interior design
• Must be a Floridalicensed Interior Designer; LEEDAP certification a plus.
• 10 years of interior design experience including in hospitality and commercial projects
• Advancedlevel competency in Revit 3DMax Rhino Sketch up hand sketching and AutoCAD a MUST

Skills and Abilities

• Experience with hospitality and commercial projects from strategic planning and conceptual design through construction drawings and construction administration
• Thorough knowledge of the Interior Architectural practice with an emphasis on programming planning design codes building materials and construction methods
• A working knowledge of structural civil mechanical electrical and plumbing engineering systems for proper project coordination
• Understanding of current code requirements
• Must possess a strong design portfolio of works depicting projects developed
• Ability to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
• Selfmotivated in meeting deadlines and improving process and deliverables.
• Must possess the ability to coordinate with architecture project consultants and engineers.
• Must have thorough knowledge of building systems ADA compliance requirements and Florida Building Codes.
• Strong competency in interior design specifications calculations and industry standards and application of building codes and specifications
• Collaborative and professional work ethic
