ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an AI Forward Deployed Engineer at Regal youre the product owner of each customers onboarding journey. Imagine taking the reins of a micro product launch for every new customer. Youll shape their implementation with our platform ensuring they go from contract signature to a fully functional AI Agent deployed in their contact center in under two weeks.

Whether you come from a Solutions Engineering background with strong product instincts or youre an exProduct Manager eager to get your hands dirty with code and APIs and deeper customer management this is your opportunity to define the next generation of customer experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive a 14Day Launch: Treat each customers onboarding like a mini product development cycle. Within two weeks youll deliver a polished AI Agent thats integrated to the customers current systems and workflows and move the customers needle on key business metrics.
- Own the Product Vision (Per Deployment): Collaborate with customers to understand their goals success criteria and operational context. Then translate these insights into a clear measurable deployment plan that aligns Regals capabilities with their strategic objectives.
- Architect Technical Integrations: Work handson with APIs webhooks and databases to seamlessly integrate Regal into the customers existing systems. Your technical expertise ensures data flows smoothly and securely setting the foundation for a scalable AI agent experience.
- Shape Conversational Experiences: Work internally with Regal AI Product Specialists to guide the creation and refinement of voice prompts and AI agent settings to achieve the conversational quality that is Regals signature and that meets your customers compliance requirements and business objectives. Help QA test and validate that the AI Agent achieves the standards required to be successful.
- Measure Iterate and Adapt: Set up Reports that measure the performance of AI Agents; work with customers to iterate their postcall AI analysis prompts or disposition prompts to get the most accurate data out of AI Agents. Develop a roadmap of A/B tests to continuously improve AI Agent performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Provide weekly status updates manage timelines and communicate proactively with both internal and external stakeholders. Mitigate risks reprioritize as needed and keep everyone aligned around the deployment roadmap.
- Unlock Future Value: As customers gain confidence surface new use cases and features that can drive ongoing value. Use your product and commercial mindset to spot expansion opportunities and ensure each deployment isnt just a oneoff success but the start of a longterm partnership.
- Travel: You should expect to travel 1 week per month. When launching a new customer youll travel to their office (if they are in person) and periodically thereafter to meet with execs.
ABOUT YOU:
- Technical Chops: Youve got 3 years in a technical customerfacing role (e.g. Solutions Engineer Implementation Consultant) or have PM experience in a tech environment. Youre comfortable working with APIs writing a bit of middleware code when needed framing product features for executives and everything in between.
- Strategic ProblemSolving: You see beyond the immediate ask. You excel at synthesizing business needs user experience considerations and platform constraints into a cohesive product visionthen executing on it.
- Outstanding Communication: Whether youre writing a project brief presenting call flow diagrams or explaining data integration steps to a CTO you tailor your message and ensure everyone understands the big picture.
- Relentless Ownership: Not my problem isnt in your vocabulary. Youre accountable for the success of each deployment making smart tradeoffs iterating quickly and doing whatever it takes to ship on time.
- Curiosity for AI & Voice: Youre excited about the potential of Voice AI. Maybe youve dabbled in conversational design prompt engineering or user research for voice interfaces. Youre eager to learn more and push the envelope on whats possible.
- Entrepreneurial DNA: You want to be a founder one day which means youre not just technical youre also commerciallyminded and want to win. You thrive in fastpaced ambiguous environments where you can shape processes influence product direction and drive revenue. Your adaptability and growth mindset help you navigate change and complexity with ease.
- Ability to travel: Must be able to travel on a monthly basis.
AI Product Specialist vs. AI Forward Deployed Engineer Whats the Difference
- The AI Forward Deployed Engineer is more customerfacing owning the launch and overall success of each AI Agent deployment and customer relationship ensuring AI Agents can successfully integrate into the customers existing systems and workflows and achieve their business goals (as well as growing revenue by identifying more use cases and opportunities for AI Agents). AI Forward Deployed Engineers have 3 years in a technical customerfacing role (e.g. Solutions Engineer Implementation Consultant) or have PM experience in a tech environment.
- The AI Product Specialist is more internalfacing part of a centralized team using the Regal AI Agent Platform to build and test AI agents codifying best practices and processes for AI Agent development and QA testing and giving feedback to our product and engineering teams on how the platform needs to evolve (as well as building demos for the sales and marketing teams and working on internal projects). AI Product Specialists have a technical degree but only 02 years of previous experience.

$135000 $180000 a year
The reasonably estimated base salary for this role is provided as a range within this job description. All offers include a competitive equity package and some offers may additionally include a variable compensation component. Actual compensation is determined on an individualized basis taking into consideration factors such as the candidates skills location qualifications experience and relevant education or training. In addition Regal offers a comprehensive set of employee benefits which are listed above. Details about the compensation package will be finalized at the time of offer.
POSITION LOCATION & OFFICE DETAILS:
This position is only available in New York City (HQ NoMad). Hybrid roles are required in office T/W/TH and encouraged 5x/week.
