Primary Purpose Of Position
This is a repost. Previous applicants need not reapply for this temporary position. The Department of Liberal Studies invites applications for PartTime Instructors for fall 2024 or summer 2024. PartTime Instructors are hired on a semesterbysemester basis to teach courses in liberal studies. Courses include: Introduction to Liberal Studies African American Studies Introduction to Race Class and Culture; Philosophy courses such as Introductory Logic World Religions; and introductory courses in Spanish and French. The successful candidate is expected to teach introductory and advanced level courses by the Department of Liberal Studies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teach facetoface and/or online attend training and/or review sessions. Additional duties will include but are not limited to academic advising of students supporting student organizations participating in program development and assessment. The candidate will be expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and university.
Minimum Requirements
To teach Philosophy courses candidates must have a Masters degree in Philosophy at time of application. To teach Liberal Studies courses the candidates must have a Masters degree in Liberal Studies or a related field at time of application. To teach Spanish and French courses candidates much have a Masters degree or higher in Spanish and French at the time of application.
Preferred Years Experience Skills Training Education
Candidates with 13 years teaching experience in subject area are preferred.
