Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $17.00 hourly NonExempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 40 hours per week
- 100 Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
This is a parttime nonbenefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
The EERC at UND is seeking qualified and highly motivated undergraduate and graduate
students from any discipline for paid summer research intern positions. Interns will be
introduced to energy impacts challenges and opportunities from technical regulatory
and social perspectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research future North Dakota energy opportunities with a focus on conducting research in North Dakota energy and valueadded energy products.
- Work closely with each other and EERC research scientists engineers and project managers on research activities designed to better understand North Dakotas current energy landscape focus on future energy challenges and develop valueadding opportunities.
- Research topics; prepare technical progress reports a business plan and presentations; and present research project results. (Essential)

Minimum Requirements
- Current UND students with confirmed enrollment at UND for the fall 2025 semester.
- Interest in understanding energy and research is essential.
- Attend 5day trip to energy production sites and communities across North Dakota
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

- No prior energy experience is needed.
- Position is open to all majors and disciplines of study
