Job Description
THE ROLE:
LGV Class 1 Driver Full Time Newbury
Our drivers are one of the most important roles within EV Cargo and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

LOCATION:
This role will be based at our site in Newbury.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:
- Various HGV driving duties including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use complying with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.
- Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.
- Report any delivery issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.
- Provide a professional driving service meeting and exceeding customer expectations
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times
- You may be required to drive 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.
- Able to work weekends.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Qualifications. Class 1 Driving Licence.
Experience. Previous experience is essential. Refrigeration and multi drop experience would be beneficial. Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge.
Communication. You will have good communication skills spoken and written.
Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.
Planning & Organisation. You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
