Founded in 2016 For Our Future Action Fund and For Our Future run a yearround progressive field program across battleground states focused on engaging voters on economic issues facing working families. Our mission is to elevate and advance economic justice by organizing voters around a prounion economic agenda and to elect proworker candidates. Along with community partners and volunteers we consistently engage with people in facetoface conversations around socioeconomic issues encouraging them to take action on issues and in elections. POSITION CLASSIFICATION
For Our Future Action Fund recognizes a staff bargaining unit affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 494 a labor union. This position is NOT included in the For Our Future bargaining unit.
JOB SUMMARY
For Our Future Action Fund seeks motivated outgoing and resultsdriven Voter Contact organizers to support our voter outreach efforts in La Crosse Wisconsin. You will perform daytoday canvassing in your assigned turf and work to engage area residents about the upcoming Wisconsin Spring elections. Candidates should have familiarity with La Crosse County experience working in political campaigns or organizing environments comfortable working long hours and access to reliable transportation.
This is an inperson opportunity and will require a physical presence in the local community and/or office.
This position is anticipated to run through at least April 2 2025.
Work Environment
So long as it is safe and appropriate to continue doortodoor and sitebased canvassing it will be a high priority. Canvassing is considered an essential function of this job. Employees may be required to work in extreme weather conditions including rain heat and cold. This position is expected to interact regularly facetoface with voters volunteers or community partners. If state and government stayathome orders phased reopening orders or other factors related to the COVID19 virus (or any other reason) limit For Our Futures ability to engage safely in inperson work employees may be assigned other duties to be conducted from their homes.
