Job Description
Are you a natural leader a motivator and ready to work in a position that is fun and rewarding If so British Swim School would like to meet you!
Hire supervise support train coach develop and retain a dynamic team of swim instructors
Manage staff schedule of aquatics team including time off requests
Ensure classes and training adhere to current company brand standards
Ensure pool locations have proper inventory of supplies for lessons
Ensure that all water and safety standards are maintained at the pools
Teach the British Swim School program curriculum to children and adults as needed
Offer guidance and support to team when managing difficult class situations
Use BSS Instructor assessment and development tools/checklists to maintain lesson quality
Assist with business growth by attracting new customers and retaining existing customers
Attend appropriate ongoing training locally and with corporate
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Franchise Business Owner
- A track record in the world of swimming and fitness teaching/management A specialist aquatics qualification is desirable but not required
- Experience working with children and a passion for our mission of water safety and survival
- Enthusiastic assertive personality with strong relationship and customer service skills
- Effective and influential leadership in a fun environment built on trust
- Disciplined to follow and enforce schedules company policies and enforce safety procedures based on Franchise expectations
- Ability to lead supervise train and coach associates to include organizing prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
- Critical thinking problem solving analysis and strategic planning
- A Bachelors Degree and at least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Canadian Red Cross Lifeguard certification or the ability to renew this
- CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification
- Successful completion of aquatics leadership training through British Swim School Corporate

Its helpful if you have experience with children or in a childfocused job but its not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team even if youre not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the Survival of the Littlest.
