Seasonal Fire positions for hiring for the 2025 fire season is open for application January 23 and will run through February 28 2025 or until filled. First pull of applicants for review will begin February 13 2025.

Wildland Fire Suppression Specialist (WFSS)
Please make sure your application materials clearly identify how you meet the two 2 seasons of Wildland Firefighting experience in your work history.
- Must have two 2 seasons of Wildland firefighting experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
- Some positions may require a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
- Prior to hire you will need to submit WCT Card or take and pass the Work Capacity Test at the arduous level at any certified qualifying agency.
- We may consider applicants that do not have 2 seasons if not able to fill at the qualified level.
General Duties:
- Complete wildland firefighting activities; locate fires using maps Global Positioning System (GPS) and compass. Will teach.
- Construct fireline using hand tools or power equipment by cutting sing digging and chopping or burning out to remove flammable materials.
- Operate many different types of fire equipment.
Skills we are looking for:
- Experience working collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Ability to perform in high stress fast paced emergency situations.
- Ability to use hand tools and operate motorized equipment commonly used for wildland fire.
