Job Description

Job Title: Specialist Integration and Test Engineering

Job Code: 19895

Job Location: Greenville TX onsite

Schedule: 4/10 2nd shift

Position requires an Active DOD Secret Security Clearancewith the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOD Top Secret Security clearance with SCI which requires US Citizenship.

Job Description:

Responsible for performing the integration and/or test of all components ensuring electrical and physical compatibility to meet program technical schedule and cost objectives. In support of system design activities responsible for test and/or integration of COTSbased electromechanical systems from the system design phase through development documentation installation and commissioning of the completed system. Integration responsibilities may include design develop and implement integration plans for procedures for hardware software and facilities. Responsible for the physical and electrical compatibility of functional interfaces and first article product integration ensuring seamless interface between the design and production of systems. Testing responsibilities may include analyzes requirements for testability issues. Develops and implements both hardware and software system level test programs plans specifications procedures and customer acceptance.

Essential Functions:

  • Subsystem preoperational checks in accordance with applicable engineering documentation
  • Configures/prepares LRUs and subsystem components for single and multithread interface

and operation

  • Accomplishment of subsystem and system level Ground Test Plans
  • Insertion loss testing of RF harness assemblies per released engineering and

technicalspecifications

  • System and subsystem troubleshooting to component level
  • Identifies subsystem LRU failures and takes appropriate troubleshooting actions to repair replace and retest when necessary
  • Identifies hardware software and firmware anomalies and recommends repair/correctiveactions via several enterprise software applications
  • Supports EMI/Tempest testing of various airborne subsystems
  • Supports software and hardware development integration activities
  • Aircraft preflight activities to ensure system and subsystem flight readiness
  • Uses several types of test equipment to perform various subsystem and system level troubleshooting and test functions:

o Local Area Network (LAN) Test Devices

o Network Analyzer

o Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR)

o Digital Multimeter

o Oscilloscope

o Frequency Counter

o Function Generator/AWGs

o Signal Generator

o Spectrum Analyzer

o Power/Watt Meter

o Fiber Optic Test Devices

  • Employs several COTS and organic software applications to complete test activities
  • May be required to perform inflight duty as observer on several airborne platforms
  • May be responsible for the preparation and/or review of engineering documents
  • Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve operational capability equipmentefficiency and reduce cost of operation
  • Frequent technical interface with various functional organizations as well as local and offsitecustomers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Successful candidate shall possess 46 years of experience maintaining SIGINT/COMINT mission/communications systems aboard U.S. military airborne and/or ground based platforms.
  • Must be familiar with the use of industry standard test equipment and COTS hardware.
  • Candidate must be computer literate to include the use of Windows based programs and COTS software applications.
  • Candidate must currently holda U.S. DOD Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOD Top Secret Security clearance with SCI is required which requires US Citizenship.
  • Candidates shall possess thorough analytical and troubleshooting skills and be able to communicate well via verbal or written means.
  • Position will require flexibility with regard to assigned work schedules/shifts and may require maintenance of qualification for FAA Class III flight physical/duties in support of organizational objectives.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong applicable test environment experience.
  • Experience with RC135 platforms
  • Strong work ethic; maintaining a sense of urgency to ensure obligations are met.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
