Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the engineers in support of all assigned engineering projects including NPI (New Product Introduction) and CIP (Continuous Improvement Project) activities. Primary work includes performing detailed lab experiments from hardware setup to the final reporting.
- Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
- Assist in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment.
- Maintain a clean organized lab environment.
- Work with calibration department to maintain equipment calibration for assigned work area.
Education & Experience
- H.S. Diploma and working toward college degree required.
- B.S. preferred
Skills
- Basic hands on lab skills. Experience with optics and diagnostic equipment such as infrared detectors oscilloscopes function generators and data acquisition systems a plus. The successful candidate will also demonstrate willingness and selfmotivation to pursue and quickly expand knowledge within these fields where experience is lacking.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Proficient with MS Excel and Power Point.
- The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self starter who takes ownership of commitments and enjoys working in a dynamic collaborative team environment.
- Mindset to constantly pursue the basic understanding or root cause of problems and to continually improve.
- Detail oriented with well refined troubleshooting skills and techniques while working under minimal supervision.
- Selfmotivation and the ability to maintain effectiveness in working several tasks in parallel while bringing each to conclusion in a timely manner.
- Personal time management project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
