We are looking for a Linux/Windows Administrator to manage maintain and troubleshoot Linux servers within a predominantly Windows based environment. This position will be fulltime and onsite in Pittsburgh PA.
What Youll Do
Manage maintain and troubleshoot Linux servers within a predominantly Windows based environment
Perform system administration tasks for both Linux and Windows servers including installation configuration and patch management
Monitor server performance ensure system availability and maintain high system reliability
Implement security measures and ensure compliance with ACDHS policies and industry standards
Assist with the integration of Linux and Windows systems ensuring seamless operation and communication between platforms
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on Linuxrelated issues
Collaborate with other IT staff to develop and implement IT solutions that meet business needs
Create and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures
Contribute to crossfunctional initiatives and support evolving organizational needs as required
What Youll Need
Required:
Proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems including commandline interfaces and system administration tools
Experience with virtualization technologies
Strong understanding of networking concepts protocols and security best practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
5 years of experience in system administration with a strong focus on Linux
Preferred:
Relevant certifications (e.g. RHCSA RHCE MCSA MCSE).
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
