Job Description
Our client an international insurance company is looking for a Senior NonLife Pricing Actuary to strengthen the Pricing Department. He/she will be in charge of building and managing the pricing of NonLife Insurance Product and harness the opportunities offered by data science and telematics practises.
The Senior NonLife Pricing Actuary will be responsible to :
- Ensure the accuracy and adequacy of data from the production system collaborating with IT teams and contractors to implement necessary changes.
- Develop and update risk models crucial for price setting regularly as more data becomes available. Additionally create demand models (price elasticity) as needed to support the risk models.
- Work with business stakeholders to design and propose a commercial pricing strategy that aligns with business objectives considering risk models pricing structures competitive environment and customer behaviour.
- Based on business goals KPIs and adhoc analyses recommend rate adjustments to enhance product performance (both new business and renewals). Suggest renewal strategies to optimize portfolio profitability while supporting business growth.
- Assist in the creation or enhancement of KPI reports to track sales performance and portfolio profitability according to risk and customer profiles.
- Conduct various analytical investigations to gain deeper insights beyond those provided by KPI reports.
- Document all work and models thoroughly.
- Present findings and recommendations to a nontechnical audience.
Profile
- University Degree in Mathematics Physics Data Science or Statistics.
- Preferably but not required making progress in Actuarial exams with the Institute of Actuaries or equivalent.
- 5 years working in insurance P&C line of business preferably Personal Lines.
- Python R SQL knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to nontechnical audience.
- Diligence and reliability in the work carried out.
- Fluency in English.
